The characterization of Anse-aux-Iroquois is the first step in a project on a potential site for the restoration of fish habitat as part of a project funded by Fisheries and Oceans Canada. The biological and geomorphological characterization was carried out during the spring and summer of 2019.
In order to limit the phenomenon of erosion and improve the resilience of the environment, a project of transplantation in the marsh, reprofiling of the bank and planting of native plants is planned for summer 2020. This represents an area of 2,066 m² of restored fish habitat.
