Characterization of sites colonized by the Japanese knotweed

Between 2012 and 2015, the Comité ZIP Jacques-Cartier and the Comité ZIP des Seigneuries carried out the project "Prevent the proliferation of the Japanese Knotweed on Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM) territory". They identified riparian sites where Knotweed was likely to be present. These sites were characterized several times between 2012 and 2015. Each site was the subject of a biophysical inventory to determine the growth rate of Japanese knotweed colonies and their impact on biodiversity. The data are accompanied by an article written by Valérie Aubin and Sylvie Bibeau, published in the summer of 2016 in Le Naturaliste Canadien magazine, vol 140, no. 2.
